About us
Early 2000 we had the opportunity to spend several years as a member of the local community in this beautiful region of France, known under many names, like “the South-West”, the Périgord, the Dordogne or the Lot. Having lived in New Zealand too, we found that this region was similar to the rolling hills of Down-Under, but had just that very important “extra” in the cultural richness of castles and old villages and “past time”.
We have learned to love France, its lifestyle and its people, the nature and the stillness and we would like to share this love with you! The houses in this region are just spectacular, especially the authentic houses “en pierres”, which keep their value like gold…
As we thought this region was perfect to holiday in, we decided to build our own wooden Eco house (Le Bouyssonnet), to always have our own little paradise with our own private pool. We started renting it to English, French and Dutch holiday-makers and soon people in the area asked us if we could also rent out their second homes… no problem, what we can do for ourselves we can do for others…
Slowly, slowly, we could not do this in our spare time anymore and Francevilla was born… from renting one house for the summer it grew to a succesful company representing 80 holiday-homes, all personally selected by us. We have been so succesful connecting people . . .some of them have become our dear friends…
