Hi Lydia,
Just a quick email to thank you for a great holiday, La Vallee was fantastic, the weather was great too, I will keep you details for next years holiday, Sabine was also very very helpful...
Kind regards Vicky
Thanks for the help sorting out the holiday at very short notice. As for photographs - my son took loads but many of odd things - he managed to get a good picture of a bee-humming bird just by the pool! As for the few items that could be looked at. I am 195cm and one of my sons only a little shorter so the low beams were a bit of a problem at times particularly by the table tennis and pool.

Dear Naomi,
Thank you, we had a lovely holiday in Dordogne. The weather was superb and the house was very nice. The house was advertised as a four bedroom suitable for 8 which it was. My only comments would be that there wasn’t sufficient loungers around the pool for 8. The bedrooms upstairs are perfect for older children but not younger children because of the steep stairs. I hope my comments were constructive and useful.

Hello Lydia,
We had a great holiday. The property was lovely and Joyce was very helpful.
A few suggestions – but really we had a great time: Most people have sat navigation – perhaps add the coordinates to the travel directions 45.092399,1.062992. Our first few days were extremely hot but there were no fans. - Larger kitchen bin.Internet WIFI would be nice..

Sarlat in the Woods
Dear Lydia
We had a lovely time at Sarlat in the Woods. It was a bit hard at the start as the lady and gentleman who were giving us the key and showing us around did not speak any English and our French was very limitied but we got there in the end.
Thank you for all your help. Unfortunately I do not have any photos of the house.

Alpradip
Dear Lydia,
Thanks for the email. We had a really lovely time. The weather was fantastic and the villa was lovely. Pradip was an excellent host and very friendly. The only issue we had was that having two smaller kitchens made it a little difficult to cook for 10 people, but that was a fairly minor problem. Overall it was a fabulous holiday!
Thanks,
Mike
The Mill
Hi Lydia,
Sorry to get back to you so late... We had a wonderful holiday at the Mill! Everything was perfect. We bought a couple pool towels and left them at the mill. I'll forward any good pictures as soon as we get them organized. We've been a little busy since our return.
Looking forward to a return visit!

Hi Naomi
Excellent holiday in a beautiful property. We also had magnificent weather and I understand we were very lucky as it has been very wet this year in that region so all in all no complaints!! I will certainly look at your website in the future when looking for villas in France.

Maison Muguette
Dear Lydia,
The holiday was most enjoyable and the house was lovely. The most positive things were the welcome from Mrs Chastrusse (fresh eggs, vegetables, wine and flowers), the gardens and the setting of the house, the swimming pool, the kitchen was well equipped. We enjoyed dinner at La Mule Blanche, and the meal was lovely as was the service. The house itself was very much in the style expected. We enjoyed our holiday very much and would certainly consider renting one of your homes again.
Thank you.
Best regards,

Please send our kind regards to Mr and Mrs Prichard and don’t forget Billy, their cute dog!:)
PS: Sorry for the late answer, but our holiday continued and we arrived home just late last night. I will return to you if we will find some nice pictures in our cameras. Keep in touch!

Plucked off the internet because of the enchanting photos and description. Little did we know that in real life the gite was even more spacious, enchanting and adorable than on the above mentioned internet!!
The hammock is ever so relaxing (we added our own!), the pool ever so refreshing, the living room ever so spacious and kitchen ever so comfortable! What a great find! You completely forget that the sun has lost her battle against rain and wind (you can easily eat outside when if's a full 18 C) and on the few days she managed to win the battle, we park ourselves outside (dripping in sunscreen) on the 'terrace' for more reading, more drinking, some tanning and lovely cold splashes in the refreshing pool. This is the life we'd like to live all year round!
Needless to say we've thoroughly enjoyed every nook and cranny of this wonderful, lovely, warm, inviting, beautiful, spacious, superb gite and will definitely come back!
We thank you for the hospitality, your kindness, your friendliness and the invitations. THANK YOU!

Sarlat in the woods
Dear Lydia,
Firstly, if possible Val and I would like you to pass on our gratitude to Madame Lieubry for allowing us to stay at her beautiful home and that we have and will recommend it to our friends. Val and I had one of the best holidays ever. Maison Sarlat in the woods was just as you described and better. The days spent in and around the pool were so relaxing. And the evenings sitting on the veranda will live long in our memories. At times there was total peace and silence, which is somewhat different to our part of England.
The house is wonderfully positioned to tour the region. Beynac, Castelnaud, La Roque Gageac and the Dordogne valley are all less than 15 minutes leisurely drive from the house. Les Eyzies and the Vézère valley only 20 minutes. It may be something you want to emphasize on your website.
A suggestion, it may be useful if the owners could consider providing a few essential items for each set of visitors such as ….;
We recognize that it is not expected that owners will provide sufficient items for an entire holiday, but if a small quantity of each were provided upon arrival is usually most appreciated by visitors. The majority of visitors would replenish stock as they were used up, leaving any excess items for the next family. To close, as Francophiles who adore the Périgord region I am sure Val and I will be holidaying in the area again and hope to be able to use your website to find other houses to stay in.

Thank you so much. My husband and I are overjoyed at being able to book through you and stay at this delightful house of your friends (Villa Poujole). We promise we will look after it very well, as if it was our own house. We are travelling back to the Brittany area of France - do you know of any villas/gites in Brittany to rent from Wed 13 Oct to Sat 16 Oct for 6 people and 2 dogs?
Just thought I would ask. You are a very good person to know I think and I hope we can do business again - I feel like I know you through emails! I look forward to your reply.
Very best wishes

Maison Grange and Villa Corrèze
Hi Lydia
Thanks for the email. We had a lovely time in the Lot/Dordogne. Both houses were great but in particular the second house was amazing. We loved the house, the pool, the region.. everything!
La Maison Grange was good. It was a nice place, nice region and the owner was lovely but it wasn’t completely.
Villa Correze was fantastic and definitely worth the money. The owner was lovely and showed us everything and told us to get in touch if we had problems but he wasn’t forever coming around which gave us lots of privacy.
I will try to dig out some photos for you and will have a look at your website for future bookings (we will try to do it earlier this time).
Best wishes

Dear Lydia,
We got back yesterday from a wonderful holiday in Dordogne. The house of Mr. Colin was truly beautiful and we enjoyed every minute of our stay and wished we could have stayed a bit longer. While the weather was not as sunny as we had hoped, the fact that it was not too hot meant that we took the opportunity to visit many lovely villages, towns and castles of the Perigord Noir. We would like to thank you for all the arrangements and hope to be back in touch soon for our next trip to the Dordogne, hopefully next year.
Best regards,
Esteban
Yes, we (six women) had a very super holiday in Le Poujole. We went by air from Stockholm to Paris and Bourdaux. There we rented two cars and drove to Le Poujole. We found the place after that we read the instruction from you very well - thanks!!
The house were lovely with a great number of rooms, machine equipment and swimming-pool - it were more lovely than we interpreted by internet. First it was a few rainy days - when we looked around - then it was sunny. The owner of the house were very nice and helpful. So, we highly recommond this place.

Thank you so much. My God it looks so nice we are beside ourselves. A week is NOT enough! The ivy and roses add such charm, what an oasis. We will be circulating these among our work colleagues and turn them green with envy. We are just imagining what it would be like for Xmas with that fireplace.

Le Petit Paradis
I wanted to let you know how much we enjoyed staying at Le Petit Paradis recently. The weather was mostly good; although we did have a couple of days of rain. M Fau was very charming and helpful and provided us with the most wonderful tomatoes, cucumbers, onions etc - so much nicer than we can buy in the supermarket in England! Our children loved the pool, kayaking at St Julien and the huge cave at Padirac and we enjoyed some lovely visits to Sarlat, the chateau at Lamothe-Fenelon, Rocamadour, the gardens at Marqueyssac (at night), the market at St Julien and La Roque Gageac (where we saw a lovely wedding - such a spectacular location!).We didn't have any problems and I hope we left the house in good order.

Thank you so much.

We loved our time there and the weather was lovely, but just as importantly the house was very very comfortable and felt like home.
